Benjamin’s blood counts this morning showed a rise in hemoglobin and a steady platelet count, both strong signs of an upward swing. Benjamin didn’t get a blood transfusion after all today. His hemoglobin count was 7.53 on Monday, and was expected to drop below 7 by today, because of the chemotherapy medicine Cytarabine (Ara-C).
