It was magical, seeing Banyan again. He looked so beautiful and so happy. He has matured. He was so kind to his brother, showing him around with an arm on his shoulder, welcoming him into cabin games with his Highlands friends.
As we listened to the words spoken at the closing banquet I felt overwhelmed with gratitude that Banyan has this special north woods magic in his life. Benjamin said, “I can’t WAIT to go to camp here.” Soon, sweet boy.
We thanked our sweet friends for taking care of our son, and traveled an hour up the road to our first stop, a funky resting place en route to tomorrow’s destination. I have a peaceful heart tonight.
