This has been an incredible day for our family. We have successfully staved off the virus that threatened us yesterday. Benjamin has had a few struggles with this steroid pulse, but we have anticipated and managed them well. Feeling strong, we set out for adventure early this morning. We found stellar hiking, wildlife and waterfalls, made hoodoos and locally grown picnics, went agate hunting and reunited with gorgeous, otherworldly Lake Superior.
We have very little cell phone reception up here which suits us just fine. There is a different pace up here, a different energy, a different palette of colors on the paintbrush. I want to commit this time and place, with these people, to my permanent memory.
